5th Annual New Brunswick Health Research Conference

Call for Posters Information
 
Researchers will present their health research work/project through poster display and oral presentation sessions during the conference.  The poster displays will provide a forum for researchers to showcase their work and to promote networking among conference participants.  The poster submission form/Abstract submission deadline is October 11st, 2013 at 4p.m.  Online submission form will be available by September 9, 2013.
 
Every poster author will be able to describe their research to conference attendees during scheduled and informal viewing times as part of the conference program.
 
In addition 9 student and health professional authors will have the opportunity to present their research to the conference delegates in a special plenary session.  These authors will be selected by a panel of judges. Student and health professional authors must come prepared with 4-6 Power Point slides in addition to their poster in case they are selected (8 minute presentation).  These 9 authors will also be awarded a cash prize.
 
If your poster is accepted, you will be guaranteed one side of a professional poster mounting board to display it.
 
  • Posters should address a specific health research project, so long as it fits within one of the four CIHR pillars (biomedical research; clinical research; health systems and health services research; and the health of populations, societal and cultural dimensions of health and environmental influences on health).
  • The body of the submission must not exceed 250 words (not including translation) and must include an explanation of why your research is important, objectives, methods used and results.
  • You are strongly encouraged to submit your abstract in both official languages.  (You will only be supplied with one side of a poster board to display your project whether it is unilingual or bilingual).
  • Poster may not exceed 4’wide x 8’ tall and orientation must be portrait (Velcro will be supplied).
